Paviland EP Autonivelante

Coloured epoxy resin mixed with PAVILAND CUARZO 0,2 or PAVILAND CUARZO 0,3, it is used for the production of self-levelling pavements of low thickness (2 to 4 mm) and high resistance. This product for pavements is easy to apply and provides a very smooth and easy to clean finish. Waterproof in interior floors. Available in a wide range of colours. Among its different uses we can find the ones in food, chemical and pharmaceutical industry or even laboratories.

Additional information

Composition

100% solid two components epoxy resin.

Features and applications

  • High mechanical and chemical resistance.
  • Excellent adherence.
  • Watery.
  • High chemical resistance.
  • Wide range of colours.
  • Food industry: Milk or meet plants, etc.
  • Chemical and pharmaceutical industry.
  • Laboratories and aseptic rooms.
  • Industrial kitchens.
  • Garages.
  • Warehouses with liquid spillage.
  • Commercial areas.
  • Event halls.
  • Offices.
  • Hygienic cleaning: non-porous surfaces which are easy to clean.
  • Not strong smell.
  • Low emission of VOC's.
  • Low probability of getting yellowish

Substrates

  • Concrete with suitable resistance (25N/mm2 minimum compressive strength and 1,5 N/mm2 resistance to traction) open porous and light roughness. Please consult our technical department when applying on a different type of substrate.
  • Substrates must be resistant enough, stable, healthy and clean. Free of dust, release agents, organic products, etc.
  • Before applying any product make sure all holes and / or cracks on the substrate are previously repaired by using products from our PAVILAND or MORCEMREST range.
  • It is also advisable to carry out a milling or sanding process of the substrate with the main objective of opening the porous and removing any possible adhered materials such as greases, paints, etc.
  • The substrate must be completely dried.
  • First apply a primer such as Paviland Primer EP or Paviland EP Base (check the corresponding technical data sheets). The self-levelling layer should be applied before the primer has completely polymerized.

Instructions for use

  • Homogenize component A.
  • Pour component B on top of component A and mix them with a suitable mixer at low speed, until getting a homogeneous product.
  • Once the resin has been properly mixed, add the PAVILAND CUARZO arid taking into account the chosen granulometry 0,04-0,3 (P. Cuarzo 0,2) or 0,1-0,3 (P. Cuarzo 0,3), according to resin: arid 1/0,5 to 1/1 depending on the thickness and resistance required. Homogenize for two minutes.
  • Spread the self-levelling product with the help of a dented trowel until getting a minimum thickness of 2 mm and a maximum of 4 mm. After 10 or 20 minutes, go through the area with a nylon roller uniformly to remove any occluded air and improve levelling.
  • After 24 hours approximately, depending on temperature and moisture conditions, you may add a sealing layer of PAVILAND TOP PU with either dull or shiny finish, to improve the cleaning properties of the pavement, its aesthetic properties and its resistance to scratches.

Cautions and recommendations

  • Do not apply it under 10ºC.
  • Do not apply it above 30ºC.
  • Do not apply under the risk of frost, rain, heavy wind or direct sun light.
  • Use gloves and protective goggles when manipulating the product. In case of direct skin or clothes contact, clean the area with abundant water and soap.
  • Keep away from children.
  • Do not add any water to the mixture.
  • The substrate must be completely dried.
  • The product may suffer some colour changes when exposed to direct UV radiation, however, it does not affect its mechanical or chemical features.
  • Any equipment and tools will be cleaned with water immediately after being used. Once the product gets hard, it will only be removed by mechanical means.
  • Do not eat or smoke when manipulating the product.
  • Empty containers should be removed or thrown according to the current legislation.
  • As a consequence of the change in raw materials, the shades of the coloured mortars may vary slightly by batch.
  • A preliminary test of the optimal resin-to-aggregate ratio is recommended, according to the required thickness and application conditions.
