Additional information

Composition

Product based on styrene-acrylic resins and mineral fillers.

Features and applications

  • Suitable for interior and exterior use.
  • It improves adhesion to the substrate, avoiding water loss and formation of bubbles.
  • It also improves the waterproofing features and durability of the Paviland ARQ.
  • Pore-sealing primer on mineral substrates and concrete surfaces.
  • Provides roughness to the substrate, facilitating the subsequent physical-chemical adhesion of the render. Specially indicated for walls on ceramic substrates.
  • It is not affected by the alkaline pH of the substrate.
  • Adhesion promoter for Grupo Puma's NIVELAND and PAVILAND Self-Levelling Cement Systems on non-porous and/or glassy surfaces such as ceramic, porcelain, marble, stone, exceptionally low porosity concrete, polished floated cement, etc.

Substrates

  • Suitable for cementitious substrates: Concrete, cement mortars, etc. Also, for anhydrite substrates.
  • The substrate must be always dry or slightly moistened but never puddly. The application surface must be free of all types of contaminants, such as oil, grease, coatings, surface treatments, etc.
  • Non-porous and/or vitreous surfaces such as ceramic, porcelain tile, marble, stone, exceptionally low porosity concrete, polished floated cement, etc.

Instructions for use

  • PAVILAND ARQ PRIMER is ready to use.
  • Homogenise it for one or two minutes before using it.
  • Horizontal surfaces: pour and level with a long-haired roller or rubber float, applying two crossed layers at a rate of 200 g/m2 per layer. Allow a minimum drying time of 1.5-2 hours on porous substrates and 3-5 hours on less porous substrates, ensuring the product is completely dry to the touch before applying the second layer and final render.
  • Vertical surfaces: Apply a single layer with a long-haired roller. Waiting time is the same one as indicated above.

Cautions and recommendations

  • Substrates must be clean, free from dust, greases, oils, liquids, or any other kind of product.
  • Do not apply with rain or frost.
  • The substrate must be always dry or slightly moistened but never puddly.
  • Do not apply the product under temperatures of 5º nor above 30º.
  • Do not use the product if it has been stored at temperatures below 0ºC.
  • In hot weather, store the product in a cool place before use.
  • At low temperatures, the product may get thicker, which will complicate its application.
  • Waiting time among layers or for final rendering: 24 hours.
