Composition
Two-component water-based epoxy sealing render.
Features and applications
- The product exhibits exceptional adhesion to the substrate, even on wet surfaces. Easy to apply.
- Odourless.
- Surface hardener of the substrate.
- Permeable to water vapour and resistant against a great number of aggressive agents.
- Tools must be cleaned with water.
- Dust-repelling effect.
- Garages.
- Warehouses.
- Chemical industry.
- Hygienic cleaning: non-porous surfaces which are easy to clean.
Substrates
- Concrete or self-leveling cementitious material with a suitable resistance (25N/mm2 minimum compressive strength and 1,5 N/mm2 resistance to traction) open porous and light roughness. Please consult our technical department for a different type of substrate.
- Substrates must be resistant enough, stable, sound and clean. Free of dust, release agents, organic products, etc.
- Before applying any product make sure all holes and / or cracks are previously repaired on the substrate by using products from our PAVILAND or MORCEMREST range.
- It is also advisable to carry out a milling or sanding process of the substrate with the main objective of opening the porous and removing any possible adhered materials such as greases, paints, etc.
- The maximum allowable residual moisture content of the substrate must be less than 6%.
Instructions for use
Homogenize components A and B separately.
Pour component B on top of component A and mix them with a suitable mixer at low speed, until getting a homogeneous product.
Apply a first coat using a brush, short-haired roller, or airless method. This coat can be thinned down (10-15%) with water to be used as a primer.
The second coat, undiluted, is applied within the time-frames indicated in the schedule available at the end of this technical data sheet. Please note that these time frames are approximate and depend on environmental features.
Finish must be smooth and uniform. Uneven application or different thicknesses of the product might cause variations in the floor's tone.
Cover the flooring for at least 48 hours following its application.
Cautions and recommendations
- Do not apply the product under 10ºC due to the potential resin crystallization. Do not apply it above 30ºC.
- Do not apply under the risk of frost, rain, heavy wind or direct sun light.
- The product changes tone or may experience discolouration when used outdoors or exposed to UV radiation; hence, it is recommended for indoor use only.
- Use gloves and protective goggles when manipulating the product. In case of direct skin or clothes contact, clean the area with abundant water.
- Keep away from children.
- The substrate should not be waterlogged. The maximum moisture content should be 6%.
- Low temperatures or intervals exceeding 48 hours between coats can cause coverage issues between coats.
- Excessive thickness in its application may cause differences in shine and/or cloudiness in the final appearance of the floor.
- Any equipment and tools will be cleaned with water immediately after being used. Once the product gets hard, it will only be removed by mechanical means.
- Do not eat or smoke when manipulating the product.
- Empty containers should be removed or thrown according to the current legislation.
- As a consequence of the change in raw materials, the shades of the coloured mortars may vary slightly by batch.
Packaging
Containers of 5 kg (4.05 + 0.95) and 20 kg (16,20 + 3,80).
The product can be stored for up to one year in its original sealed containers, in a dry and well-ventilated area, at temperatures between 10°C and 30°C, and out of direct sunlight and protected from the elements.
Colour range
RAL: 3013, 3020, 6001, 6011, 7001 and 7037. Other colours on request.
